The company "InComPro" has commenced production in Shelekhov, Irkutsk Oblast, of import-substituting aluminum tubes for ointments, creams, and toothpaste. The production volume will reach up to 33 million tubes per year. Total investments in creating the new production facility amounted to 75 million rubles. A significant portion of the funding was provided as a preferential loan under the joint federal-regional "Development Projects" program. The Federal Industrial Development Fund (FRP) provided 41.8 million rubles, while the Industrial Development Fund of Irkutsk Oblast contributed 17.9 million rubles.

On the Path to Import Substitution and Environmental Safety

A new enterprise aims to become one of the largest manufacturers of aluminum tubes in the Siberian Federal District, replacing a portion of imported products. According to the company's estimates, approximately 22% of the Russian market for aluminum tubes is currently occupied by foreign manufacturers, primarily from Egypt and China.

The CEO of LLC "Incompro," Alexander Prokudin, emphasized that thanks to loans from the federal and regional Industrial Development Fund (FRP), the company has entered a new segment of the market. "Incompro" is the sole producer of aluminum tubes in the territory stretching from Novosibirsk to Vladivostok.

The creation of local production for this type of packaging will reduce prices for aluminum tubes purchased by existing producers of food products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and household chemicals east of the Ural Mountains. It will also stimulate the emergence of new businesses.

Aluminum tubes are used for packaging a wide range of products, including ointments, gels, creams, toothpaste, hair dyes, adhesives, sealants, and artist paints.

Advantages of "Green" Aluminum and the "Memory Effect"

The tube production is oriented toward high environmental standards. The products will be made from primary Russian aluminum without any secondary metal impurities. This material belongs to the category of so-called "green aluminum," which has a low carbon footprint and minimal environmental impact. Additionally, aluminum tubes are easily recyclable.

Among the potential buyers of the product are leading Russian pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies, as well as manufacturers of artist paints.

Aluminum tubes have a significant technological advantage over laminate and plastic packaging: the "memory effect" (memory effect). Residual deformation of the tube wall prevents it from drawing air inside after a portion of the product is dispensed. This is a key factor in preserving the properties of the contents, as it protects them from oxidation, contamination by foreign substances and odors, as well as microbiological infection throughout the shelf life. Local production will also replace environmentally unfriendly laminate tubes, contributing to the environmental safety of the region.
