According to the Association "Rosspetsmash," in 2024, the import volume of food equipment to Russia, in monetary terms, reached 2 billion US dollars, which is 59% higher than the 2020 figure. In 2025, import supplies are expected to remain at the level of the previous year.
The key trends on the Russian market from 2020 to 2025 have been the increasing share of domestic manufacturers, rising from 37% in 2020 to 53.6% by the end of August 2025, as well as a change in the geographic structure of imports. Between 2020 and 2025, China's share in the structure of import supplies demonstrated rapid growth: from 10% in 2020 to 34% by the end of January-August 2025.
Thus, over four years, China’s share increased by 20 percentage points, and in the last year alone, it grew by an additional 4 points. Chinese equipment is often offered at the lowest prices on the market, which is particularly noticeable in the segment of inexpensive and technically uncomplicated equipment.
