The company "PSK Pharma" will set up the production of hollow hard gelatin capsules for medicinal drugs in Dubna. These capsules will be used in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
The company, located within the special economic zone of Dubna, has acquired flexible automated production lines to launch capsule manufacturing, according to the regional Ministry of Investment.
"The facility will produce capsules in various sizes and colors with the option of logo printing, both for internal use and for other manufacturers' orders. To date, approximately two billion rubles have been invested in the project," said Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government and Head of the Regional Ministry of Investment, Ekaterina Zinovieva.
The company's CEO, Yevgenia Shapiro, stated that the idea to start producing empty capsules emerged back in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. The product is intended not only for internal use but also for supplying other pharmaceutical manufacturers in Russia.
This project is being implemented as part of the strategy to develop the pharmaceutical industry, aimed at reducing import dependency.
