The company GSS Cosmetics has received a preferential loan of 154.3 million rubles from the Federal Industrial Development Fund (FRP) under its flagship "Development Projects" program. The financing will enable the company to create a new production complex for manufacturing cosmetics in the form of sticks, aerosols, and perfumes. Serial production under the project is planned to be launched by 2026.
As part of the project, the company plans to launch compact stick-based products (solid perfumes, sun protection and moisturizing balms, anti-cellulite and anti-acne treatments), deodorants, shower gels, nail polishes, and hair styling mousses, as well as perfumes.
The project includes the acquisition of high-tech equipment and the establishment of an in-house microbiological laboratory, which will ensure quality control of raw materials and finished products. The production will comply with international GMP and ISO standards.
The implementation of the project will strengthen the positions of Russian manufacturers in key market segments where the current import share exceeds 38%. GSS Cosmetics aims to reduce this dependency by providing consumers with a wide range of high-quality domestic products.
Moreover, the project creates new jobs, promotes employee skill development, and introduces advanced technologies—from the digitalization of production processes to lean manufacturing practices.
Anastasia Serdyuk, Financial Director of GSS Cosmetics, noted: "The project we are implementing with the support of the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) is of strategic importance for the development of the company and the entire industry. We are creating a production facility focused on innovation and import substitution, launching new product categories, and laying the foundation for long-term growth. For us, it’s not only about increasing volumes but also about implementing quality standards that will allow Russian cosmetics to compete confidently on the international stage."
Recently, the company announced the appointment of a new CEO, Yevgeniya Simakova. Over the past two years, she has initiated a large-scale transformation: under her leadership, the company's revenue has grown 2.5 times, and factory productivity has increased by 170%.
