Several projects for the production of cosmetic products based on local raw materials are being implemented in the Republic of Crimea. This was reported by Elena Grigoryeva, the head of the consulting and analytical department of the Crimean Republic Industrial Development Fund, in an interview with "Crimea Radio."
According to her statement, new projects are currently in development: production of new soap series using Crimean raw materials and the launch of cosmetic products with SPF protection. The new products are planned to be introduced to the market by 2027.
Alexei Mishin, the director of the agrofirm, spoke about the creation of a product line in Crimea based on rare and revived essential oil crops, including new blends and hydrolats with distinct aromatic properties.
He noted that Crimea was historically one of the leaders in essential oil production, and today this industry is gradually being revived.
"Right now, we have a new phyto mint blend that will also be included in the collection. There will be new hydrolats with incredible aroma. Crimea was a leader in Soviet mint production—producing over 70 tons of oil. We are reviving this," he clarified.
