The Indian pharmaceutical company Shilpa, one of the world's leading producers of drugs for treating oncological diseases, plans to build two facilities in the Krasnodar Territory. This was announced by the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratyev, following a meeting with Ravindra Kumar, the head of Shilpa Medicare Limited's representative office in Russia and the CIS.
"They [the company] plan to build two factories in the region. They will start with a small production of bioactive supplements, and in a few years, they intend to begin creating a facility for producing essential oncology drugs. They will use their own advanced technologies and equipment. Eventually, the products are expected not only to meet the internal needs of the region but also to be exported," Kondratyev wrote in his Telegram channel.
The regional leader assured that local authorities are ready to "provide full support for the project and assist at all stages of its implementation."
Shilpa Medicare specializes in the development, manufacture, and sale of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished drug formulations, primarily oncology drugs, on regulated markets worldwide, including the USA.
