Neopac India, an international provider of packaging for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products and part of the Swiss Hoffmann Neopac Group, received the prestigious Star Award from the Indian Flexible Packaging and Folding Carton Manufacturers Association (IFCA). As part of the 2024 competition, which recognizes achievements in creativity, design, and innovation in flexible packaging solutions, the Indian company Neopac was honored in the "Structural Innovations and Graphic Design" category for a tube designed for personal care products, specifically for the Kheoni Forest Bathing Natural Skin Lotion.

The award-winning tube is an example of innovation in eco-friendly packaging. It uses Neopac's PaperX laminate—a specialized material that contains 80% fiber in the tube body and reduces overall plastic content by 32%, as well as lowers the product's carbon footprint. Thanks to a thin EVOH plastic layer, the tube provides exceptional barrier protection. This achievement highlights Kheoni's commitment to combining sustainability with high functionality and premium visual appeal.

At the heart of the innovation is the advanced structural design of the tube. The PaperX laminate not only reduces plastic usage but also makes the tube 11% lighter than traditional 5-layer co-extruded tubes with a thickness of 500 microns. This lightweight construction minimizes material usage, further enhancing its positive environmental impact while maintaining functionality.

The tube's design aligns with Kheoni's wellness philosophy, seamlessly blending sophisticated branding elements with premium eco-conscious aesthetics. By using Neopac's PaperX laminate, the packaging not only expands Kheoni's market presence by attracting environmentally conscious consumers but also supports the brand's broader sustainability goals. The lightweight structure and significant reduction in plastic allow for minimizing the carbon footprint without compromising on aesthetics or functionality.

"We are very pleased to have received the IFCA Star Award for our PaperX tube," said Vishal Gupta, Marketing Manager at Neopac India. "This recognition underscores our commitment to creating innovative, sustainable, and visually appealing packaging solutions that provide exceptional value for both our brand partners and the environment."
