Moscow cosmetics are expanding into the international market.

The capital is rapidly transforming into a key hub for the production and export of cosmetics. Last year, the volume of supported exports of cosmetic products from Moscow reached approximately 3 billion rubles, marking a 1.7-fold increase compared to the previous year. Over 70 contracts were signed with partners from around the world, including new markets such as Kuwait, Belarus, Egypt, Tajikistan, and Georgia. The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development of Moscow provided this information to Rossiyskaya Gazeta (RG).

In 2024, Moscow-based producers participated in a number of major international exhibitions and missions, including: business missions to Egypt and Vietnam, the Central Asia Fashion exhibition, the "Made in Russia" festival-bazaar in China, and the Shanghai International Personal Care Expo 2024 in Shanghai.

Through events organized by the Moscow Export Center, capital-based companies can not only showcase their products to foreign buyers but also establish business connections and build cooperation with international companies. For instance, brands are signing agreements with partners in Egypt and Kazakhstan.

E-commerce plays a significant role in promoting Moscow-made goods. This is another way to promote products and highlight the capital's cosmetics industry on the global stage.

The Moscow Export Center offers several export pathways for cosmetics and aesthetic products: Chinese platforms JD.com and Pinduoduo, as well as Uzbekistan's UZUM platform. Today, Moscow cosmetics are already available on Chinese e-commerce platforms Tmall and Taobao.

"In 2025, Moscow products were showcased at the festival-bazaar in Shenyang, China. In the near future, entrepreneurs will also have the opportunity to present their goods at the China International Beauty Expo 2025 and the festival-bazaar in Harbin, China, as well as business missions to Vietnam, China, and Kazakhstan as part of the Kazakhstan Fashion Week. This will further strengthen the positions of Moscow brands on the international stage," the Department notes.
