"Packaging Systems" has launched a line of its own design UHT equipment at "Lebedyanmoloko", increasing capacity by 30 million liters per year.
JSC "Packaging" Systems", the largest Russian supplier of integrated solutions in packaging equipment and services, has implemented a large—scale modernization project at the "Lebedyanmoloko" enterprise in the Lipetsk region, one of the top 20 dairy plants in Russia. As a result, the first line of equipment in the company's own industrial design was launched.
The company has installed a production line for ultra-pasteurized milk and cream with a shelf life of up to 12 months in aseptic cardboard packaging. This fundamentally changes the logistics of the plant, removing the barrier of short shelf life of traditional "fresh" dairy products.
The installed equipment includes key technological nodes:
- UHT pasteurizer for high-temperature processing of dairy raw materials;
- module for aseptic storage of the finished product;
- automatic filling finished products in aseptic cardboard packaging.
As a result of the modernization, the total capacity of the enterprise has been increased by 30 million liters of products per year. As part of the "Packaging Systems" project, long-term maintenance of the installed lines will also be provided.
"Being a confident leader in Central Russia, we are faced with a natural barrier to further growth of the company. The short shelf life of traditional natural dairy products did not allow us to enter new regions," said Alexander Komarov, CEO of "Lebedyanmoloko" LLC. - "The path of preservatives and additives is not about us. Modern technologies and aseptic packaging have allowed us to implement our plans."
""Packaging Systems"" Head Alexander Krivolapov emphasized that Lebedyanmoloko has its own industrial design lines based on the best international practices and adapted to the needs of local manufacturers. The equipment runs on Russian software, and some of the technological modules are manufactured by the company itself.
"It is noteworthy that technological modules of our own production have also been installed as part of this project. The necessary tests have already been carried out, confirming the high results of their performance. The company's priority is to develop its own portfolio of equipment in demand by the Russian food industry," said Alexander Krivolapov.
The new capacities allow "Lebedyanmoloko" to plan further expansion of the product range: the prospects for the production of milkshakes, lactose-free milk and other products are being considered. The management sees special potential in the HoReCa and ready-to-eat segments, where cream and long-term ultra-pasteurized milk are particularly in demand.
""Lebedyanmoloko" project is a part of "Packaging Systems" strategy to deepen localization and import substitution of packaging machinery. Earlier, the company opened a production center in Lobnya for the local assembly of equipment for filling liquid food products in aseptic cardboard packaging, and now it is actively developing its own portfolio of lines for Russian food enterprises.
