Promis introduced user-friendly labeling solutions designed with the future in mind.

Drug labeling system today is a full-fledged part of the pharmaceutical market reality. JSC "Promis" highlighted the role of domestic manufacturers in supplying the market with equipment and software, as well as presented its own line of developments.

The drug labeling system has proven its effectiveness and high reliability, emphasized Egor Zhaveoronkov, Head of the Department for Work with Socially Significant Goods at the Center for the Development of Prospective Technologies, speaking at the plenary session of the “PharmPro-2025” forum. He also noted that in recent years, discipline among medical and pharmacy organizations has significantly improved, and the number of erroneous actions by system participants has drastically decreased.

Speaking about upcoming innovations set to affect manufacturers of medicines and biologically active additives (BAA) in 2025, Zhaveoronkov drew special attention to the launch of a mandatory verification mode for product sales, which will completely eliminate the possibility of selling expired or regulator-blocked medications through pharmacy cash equipment. Another important innovation will be the automatic synchronization of pharmacies and online pharmacies with the labeling system, enabling real-time inventory checks and verification without pharmacist involvement.

Zhaveoronkov also highlighted that the Medication Turnover Monitoring System (MTS) is now integrated with the Federal Customs Service, ensuring faster processing of declarations and influencing the speed of registration and control processes for drugs, including large international shipments. He added that during the V International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia,” an agreement was signed between Russia and Uzbekistan on mutual recognition of medication labeling codes.

Labeling of medicines and BAA is no longer just a legislative requirement but a full-fledged part of the pharmaceutical market’s daily reality, officials from JSC "Promis" stated. They added that the industry should not only focus on meeting formalities but also on improving user experience and convenience of labeling solutions. The company also emphasized the role of domestic manufacturers in supplying the market with equipment and software.

“ProSalex” Software Developed for Seamless Integration

JSC “Promis” developed the “ProSalex” software to facilitate interaction between pharmaceutical market participants and the state labeling system. This software is designed to work with equipment used for labeling medicines, veterinary products, BAA, as well as medical devices and cosmetics. “The intuitive interface and the ability to adapt to specific nuances of pharmaceutical production make ‘ProSalex’ a universal solution,” the company stated.

Representatives of Promis also described the possibility of integrating the software into existing production systems and its ability to function in parallel with foreign software solutions.

Such a solution could be especially relevant for pharmaceutical companies planning to expand their production and opt for domestically produced equipment. Real-world examples include implementations at LLC “FarmKoncept,” LLC “AZT Pharma KB,” and OJSC “Kanonfarma Production.”

Promis clarified that the L3-level “ProSalex” software is designed to work with serialization and aggregation equipment and is responsible for transmitting reports to the MTS and MT (Medications Tracking) systems.

The company also introduced its new MarkPro 150 and MarkPro 250 systems, capable of marking up to 150 and 250 packages per minute respectively. These solutions are intended for direct printing of DataMatrix codes on packaging made from various types of cardboard.

JetPacker: Comprehensive Automation Solution

For automating serialization and aggregation processes, JSC “Promis” offers the specialized JetPacker complex. According to the company, the equipment can operate in three modes: standalone serialization, aggregation with conveyor stoppage, and aggregation with package flow separation. It can process up to 250 packages per minute.

Additionally, the company offers semi-automatic layer-based aggregation equipment for transport packaging (corrugated boxes and pallets), capable of handling between 50 and 80 packages per minute, aimed at accelerating packaging operations.

Modular Design Allows Scalability

Promis stressed the modularity of its equipment line — essentially a building-block system where each component integrates seamlessly with others, allowing for gradual expansion and modernization of production lines. As a result, manufacturers can efficiently address current tasks related to labeling, serialization, and aggregation, while also adapting their equipment to increasing production volumes and evolving market demands, the company concluded.
