Russia to Stop Producing Multilayer PET Bottles

As of September 1 of this year, Russia will stop producing a range of PET tableware. This is reported on the website of legal information.

According to the Russian Government Decree No. 2827-r of October 14, 2024, the following items have been added to the list of banned products:

PET bottles for the food industry, except those that are colorless, blue, green, brown, and white;
PET packaging with PVC labels, except shrinkable ones;
multilayer PET bottles.

The requirement does not apply to products manufactured before September 1, 2025.
