Moscow is launching a large-scale program to develop the pharmaceutical and medical industries. The city authorities have provided land plots for the creation of three new modern production complexes.
As reported by Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy, the investment projects will be implemented under preferential land lease terms — just one ruble per year. This state support measure is designed to significantly reduce companies' initial costs and accelerate the commissioning of new high-tech enterprises.
More than 16.7 hectares of urban land have been allocated for the construction of facilities with a total area exceeding 125,000 square meters. Geographically, the production sites will be located in the southeastern, southwestern, and northern parts of Moscow. The total investment in these projects is estimated at approximately 15 billion rubles.
According to the plans, a production complex with an area of 14,000 square meters will be built in the Zyuzyino district. It will specialize in manufacturing a full range of stands for X-ray diagnostic equipment.
In the northern part of the city, two other enterprises will be established: one will focus on producing pharmaceuticals (over 100,000 sq. m), while the other will manufacture orthopedic medical devices (2,200 sq. m). The implementation of these projects will strengthen the domestic base of critically important medical products.
