The Russian company GSS Cosmetics increased its cosmetic cream production by 60% thanks to participation in the national project "Labor Productivity."
With the support of specialists from the national project, the company implemented an address-based storage system in the warehouse, conducted workspace zoning, optimized employee movement, and re-equipped the packers' workstations on the packaging line. This allowed for reducing time losses during primary technological operations, improving working conditions for employees, and increasing labor productivity.
As a result, over six months, the production speed of creams on the pilot production line increased by 40%: now, it takes 30 hours instead of 50 to produce one batch of 2,700 units. Output has grown by 60%, rising from 46,000 to 75,000 units per person per month. Unused inventory decreased by 19%. The share of this product in the company's total revenue amounts to 60%.
The enterprise continues to independently work on improving efficiency, applying the experience gained from the national project to enhance operations on other production lines. For this purpose, 24 employees have been trained in lean production methodologies, and three internal trainers have been prepared.
The company GSS Cosmetics has been operating in the cosmetics market for over 20 years and produces more than 400 types of facial and body care cosmetics.
