A factory for producing packaging for medicines and cosmetics will be built in Leningrad Region.

In the Leningrad Region, production of packaging for medications and cosmetics will be launched. An agreement with the company "Alpha" was signed by the head of the region, Alexander Drozdenko.

Production will be concentrated in the Lomonosov District. The plant will produce bottles, vials, and jars, dispensers and triggers, ampoules, syringes, and cartridges, measuring cups and spoons for medical, veterinary, and cosmetic purposes; contact lens containers, diffuser bottles, and other items, as noted by the press service of the Leningrad Region administration.

The head of the region emphasized that manufacturers often face a lack of quality packaging needed to bring their products to market. Packaging also frequently determines logistics capabilities and the final cost for consumers.

The signed agreement for launching production, according to the Governor of Leningrad Region, is a clear example of solving industry problems through import substitution—reducing dependence on external supplies and ensuring the stability of the pharmaceutical market.

As reported by Kommersant-Spb, the investment volume is estimated at 1.3 billion rubles. The agreement was signed by the governor of Leningrad Region and Andrei Beloshitsky, the founder of Alpha. Currently, the production facility rents 10,000 square meters at the Kirov Plant.

In the coming years, the company plans to relocate its production to Nizino (3,500 sq. m.) and Novogorelovo (10,000 sq. m.), where they will manufacture bottles, ampoules, and syringes. The new capacities will allow production to increase by 1.5 times.

Another agreement for Leningrad Region involves the construction of a new dry building materials plant in Vsevolozhsk District. Production launch is scheduled for 2029, with Group of Companies "Petrovich" investing 1.7 billion rubles in the plant's construction.

Additionally, the company Robowizard has launched serial production of positioners for industrial robots in St. Petersburg. These devices can rotate and tilt heavy blanks during welding, painting, assembly, mechanical processing, and 3D printing of metal parts using the deposition method.
